General considerations
15. Because livestock are in the meadows during the trout season, members are not permitted to bring dogs into the meadows where we fish.
16. The box in the section of the water known as The Spinney at pitt farm in which a book will be found for members to record visits to the water. A visit must be recorded even if no fish are caught. Members who catch fish are requested to note details of their catch, the fly used, and the pool where caught (see the map in the catch record book). Recording statistics of visits and catches facilitates determining an optimum stocking policy. You may also record you catch in the WhatsApp group where the trout secretary will make records of the catches.
17. Wading is permitted only for the purpose of entering the margins of the water to gain better access to fishing or to cross the river at obvious wading places. Members are advised that wading is dangerous in some areas as a result of bank erosion and the consequent depth of silt and mud, and members do so at their own risk.
18. Members shall at all times do their utmost to prevent damage to bankside vegetation and trees and the hedge that runs parallel with the road. At no time should members attempt to gain access by forcing their way through the hedge since this facilitates entry by others who do not have access rights. Members must exercise due care and attention to prevent injury or inconvenience to wildlife, other people or the environment.
19. Members shall do everything to uphold the good name of River Wey Fly Fishing.

Any member suspected of breaching any of the above rules, or behaving in a manner detrimental to the club or other members may be required to leave the water and any such contact may be reported to Ben Poulsom.
